This piece is written as a raucous, tear-your-face off, exhilarating experience for both the audience and the performers. Between the tempo and the meter, there is a constant sense of drive and push forward.

In the opening section, you’re immediately thrust upon a high-speed adventure. With quickly evolving orchestration and melodies moving around from one section to another, the piece never gives you a chance to just settle in and relax. At the following “B section,” the style suddenly changes to much more static harmony and blended timbres, allowing the audience to unexpectedly have a great deal more time to reflect. As the anticipation builds towards the reprise, the pulse intensifies until it explodes back into the unrelenting drive of the opening section.

This digital pack includes PDFs of a full score, parts, and an XML file to import in SmartMusic or Musescore for digital use of your students.
